Work Experience

  • Susquehanna International Group (SIG) — Quantitative Researcher Intern
    Jun–Aug 2026
    • Developed automated equity-trading strategies using predictive signals derived from options-market data.
    • Evaluated and maintained strategies on sequentially released out-of-sample data spanning 2019–2025.
    • Ranked in the top quartile among quantitative research interns and new hires on the strategy P&L leaderboard.
  • Associate
    Jul 2021–Jul 2022
    • Developed probability-of-default models for real-estate and low-default commercial loan portfolios.
    Data Science Intern
    May–Jul 2020
    • Developed a procedure for handling missing data in decision-tree classifiers, including identifying missingness patterns and selecting appropriate treatments.
    • Implemented the methodology in an internal Python-based decision-tree tool. Patent application.
    • Received a full-time Data Science Associate offer at the end of the internship.
  • May–Jul 2019
    • Conducted research on student learning using classical test theory and psychometrics.
    • Contributed to an effect-size study through simulations and R tools, and analyzed teacher questionnaires using factor analysis.

Industry Collaborations

  • Modeling Multivariate Dependencies in Flight Data

    • Formulated a tractable optimization framework for modeling multivariate dependencies in flight data.
    • Developed a Python package for internal use, with a corresponding MATLAB implementation.
    • Developed estimation methods using non-normalized statistical models.
  • Fantasy Sports User Behavior Modeling

    • Analyzed large-scale transaction and contest-participation data to model fantasy-sports user engagement.
    • Explored time-series and discrete-state models of user spending and contest participation, with the goal of identifying how platform promotions and incentives affect engagement.
  • Forecasting Supplies for People in Care

    • Developed demand forecasting methods for a broad range of goods and supplies required by people in care.
